Door County Medical Center was recently recognized for five awards from Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC), a leader in the healthcare intelligence space:
- Inpatient Services: Award of Distinction
- Inpatient Services – Med/Surg: Top Performer
- Diagnostic Imaging: 5-Star
- Emergency Department: 5-Star
- Surgical Services: 5-Star
Both the Award of Distinction and Top Performer award is reserved for service lines who score at or above the 100th percentile (compared to PRC's national client database) for either Overall Quality of Care or Overall Hospital Rating (inpatient only) during the prior calendar year. The Award of Distinction is only available to inpatient or emergency departments; the Top Performer award is available to all service lines.
The 5-star awards recognize the service lines who scored in the top 10% (90th percentile and above), within PRC's national client database, for Overall Quality of Care or Overall Hospital Rating.
These awards recognize organizations and individuals who achieve excellence throughout the year by improving patient experience, healthcare employee engagement, and/or physician alignment and engagement based on surveys of their patients.
