Overview

Various dates and locations throughout Door County. The Virtual Dementia Tour, created by Atlanta-based Second Wind Dreams, is the only scientifically proven method that makes understanding the effects of dementia possible, by garbing participants with items that alter senses and perception, then engaging in completion of everyday tasks. Participants leave the tour with revelations of why a person with dementia acts the way they do, and how that action actually seems like a rather normal response. Guided review of the experience often results in improved confidence in supporting people who have dementia.
