Dental Clinic Annual Appeal

Gifts to the annual appeal benefit the Door County Medical Center Dental Clinic. Since 1999, the Dental Clinic, a non-profit organization, has provided services to low-income children and adults of Door and Kewaunee Counties. The clinic recently relocated to a new, state-of-the-art clinic, allowing staff to meet ever-present need for accessible dental care.

Through the hospital’s Community Health Needs Assessment access to dental care has been identified as one of the top three health needs in our community, and the DCMC Dental Clinic is addressing that need, one patient at a time.

The clinic services more than 5,000 individuals annually, providing cleanings, exams, fillings, extractions, root canals and more to those who are unable to see a dentist.

Although Medicaid reimburses some of the cost of caring for low-income patients, our clinic still faces an annual shortfall of $250,000 as we seek to provide high quality care for a growing number of patients. Your donation helps us keep the Dental Clinic’s doors open and provide healthy smiles for our community, giving children and adults the basic dental care they so desperately need and deserve.
