Dental Clinic

The Door County Medical Center (DCMC) Dental Clinic provides oral health care to children and adults from Door and Kewaunee Counties. The clinic is staffed with two dentists, as well as dental hygienists and dental assistants. Clinic costs are underwritten by DCMC, generous community contributions, and grant funding.

Overview

We are proud to help provide dental care, a basic health need for all people, to our community.

The clinic was founded in 1999 in response to a demonstrated community need for accessible dental care. In 2019, more than 5,000 children and adults were served.

The Dental Clinic serves Medicaid participants and low-income individuals with no dental insurance. We provide a variety of services including restorations, root canals, extractions, oral health education, X-rays and preventative care (cleanings and fluoride varnish). DCMC partners with local organizations that refer patients, including Human services and Door County Public Health.

The clinic also partners with the Wisconsin Oral Health Association in the Seal-A-Smile program. This program provides dental sealants in the schools, promoting dental health and preventing tooth decay in children.
