Allycia Bretl provides Behavioral Health services at Door County Medical Center Sturgeon Bay Clinic.
Allycia was born and raised in Door County (Southern Door graduate) and completed her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Chemistry at Ripon College before pursuing her Master’s of Clinical Social Work at the University of Maryland-Baltimore. This included two internships specializing in clinical behavioral health; one found her working in an outpatient clinic for a low-income population, and another involved her practicing at the Department of Defense, at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. After graduation, she moved back to the Midwest and worked at a residential treatment center where she worked with dual-diagnosis clients, with a trauma-informed approach.
Some of Allycia’s favorite pastimes include spending time with her Lab/hound-mix rescue puppy, as well as traveling, experiencing new foods and cultures, reading, watching movies and spending time with her family.
