Door County Cancer Center

The Door County Cancer Center (DCCC) provides leading edge, personalized oncology treatment in a warm and caring setting. Services include radiation oncology and medical oncology physician visits and treatments, clinical trials, patient navigation, and survivorship services.

Overview

By reducing the burden of travel for cancer care, the DCCC enables patients to focus on their treatment and recovery. Located at Door County Medical Center in Sturgeon Bay, services are provided through HSHS St. Vincent Hospital Cancer Centers.

Certified oncology nurses provide skillful, compassionate care including patient assessments, education and medication administration. Highly trained radiation therapists work hand-in-hand with radiation oncologists to deliver precision radiation therapy treatments on a state-of-the-art linear accelerator, Varian’s Trilogy®. Since most radiation treatments are delivered daily, these therapists connect compassionately with each patient to provide them with individualized support. Social workers, financial counselors, clinical research associates and other staff help meet specific needs of patients throughout their journey. Dedicated volunteers provide assistance as greeters and patient transport. Working with our integrated group of expert medical and radiation oncologists, the entire team provides each patient with personalized, high quality care close to home.

HSHS St. Vincent Hospital Cancer Centers have been recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review for two consecutive years as one of 100 Hospitals and Health Systems With Great Oncology Programs, as well as receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. HSHS St. Vincent Hospital Cancer Centers are also a participant in the National Cancer Institute’s prestigious Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) which allows access to some of the most advanced cancer treatment options available.
