The Angel Ball—traditionally held in December—has moved this year to Friday, Oct. 8, at Stone Harbor Resort in Sturgeon Bay. Since 1956, The Angel Ball has been the major fundraiser for healthcare scholarships awarded by the Door County Medical Center Auxiliary.
In 2021, more than $33,000 in scholarships were awarded to Door County and Algoma high school graduates pursuing healthcare careers, as well as prior graduates who are enrolled in healthcare-related programs and Door County Medical Center employees continuing their healthcare education.
This year's Angel Ball will feature a silent auction, the always-popular wine pull, multi-course dinner, and dancing with music by the award-winning Rhythm Kings.
At this year's Angel Ball, Brian Stephens, president and CEO of Door County Medical Center, will be presented with the first-ever Angel Award for his leadership that has helped ensure the safety of all Door County residents and visitors during the ongoing pandemic.
