Jody Boes Scholarship 2023: Supporting Continuing Education for DCMC’s Nurses

In 2017, Bill and Pam Welter established the Jody Boes Scholarship in partnership with Jody Boes, former Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Administration at Door County Medical Center. Designed to financially support nurses pursuing an advanced degree at either the master’s or doctorate level, the Jody Boes Scholarship has previously provided scholarship recipients with $2,500 to apply toward their tuition. This year, the monetary award scholarship recipients will receive has been raised to $10,000.

Announcing the “Living Our Values” 2022 Award Recipients

Every year, the Mission & Values Team recognizes employees who exemplify DCMC's Catholic values with the "Living Our Values" award. Employees from each department submit nominations for fellow employees that they feel demonstrate one of the four core values. From those nominees, four are selected for the "Living Our Values" award based on each individual’s contributions that exemplify the core features of that value.

Door County Medical Center’s Care Management Program Ensures Quality Care Beyond Hospital Visits

In 2017, the Care Management program was developed as a way to improve patient outcomes and help patients achieve their healthcare goals. Care Management is a physician ordered program whereby patients with chronic illnesses, or patients being discharged from the hospital, are connected with a nurse—a Care Manager—who acts as their single point of contact to the healthcare system.
