Door County Department of Health and Human Services, Door County Mental Health Focus Group, and Door County Medical Center announce the launch of CredibleMind, a free online mental wellbeing platform.
CredibleMind is the free online platform that brings together expert rated and vetted videos, podcasts, apps, online programs, books and articles, as well as local resources, in one easy to use place. The service is confidential and available 24/7 for no cost. Visitors to the site can learn new skills, understand their own mental health, take assessments and browse a library containing thousands of mental wellbeing resources.
Statistics show that 1 in 5 US adults experience mental illness. Moreover, everyone experiences struggles or challenges from time to time that impact their mental health and wellbeing. Unfortunately, Door County is currently experiencing a staggering gap of 740 residents per 1 mental health provider. This leads many to try to do their own research online. The vast amount of mental health information online can be overwhelming and a challenge to navigate for most people. The CredibleMind website is designed to help people who are concerned about themselves and their loved ones to find resources for their specific needs. With more than 200 organized and easy to navigate topics, regardless of the challenge a user is facing, there is something on the platform that will help them.
