The Women’s Center of Door County Medical Center (DCMC) is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Elizabeth Gaida, OB/GYN to the Gynecology and Obstetrics team.
Dr. Gaida will provide women’s care services at the Women’s Center of DCMC in Sturgeon Bay starting in September.
Dr. Gaida is originally from Blaine, Minn. but did her undergraduate education at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. She went back to Minnesota for medical school and then joined the US Air Force for OB/GYN residency. She has spent the last 13 years on active duty, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Her last role in the Air Force was that of Medical Director of Women’s Health Services at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS.
Dr. Gaida says, “Each patient is unique. There is no one-size-fits-all that works for everyone. I strive to provide compassionate, evidenced based, patient-centered care that fits the needs and goals of each patient. My goal is to provide the patient with an accurate diagnosis and educate them on all available treatment modalities so they can choose the treatment that is best for them.”
She adds, “If a surgical option is chosen I’m able to offer a variety of surgical techniques, including Davinci robotics, to minimize postoperative downtime for the patient while maximizing surgical outcomes.”
Dr. Gaida enjoys the outdoors with her family and is looking forward to settling down here in Door County. Please join Door County Medical Center in welcoming Dr. Gaida to the community.
Dr. Gaida is currently accepting appointments. Please call the Women’s Center at (920) 746-3666.
